Yu Xie is Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology and the Department of Statistics at the University of Michigan. He is also affiliated with the Population Studies Center and the Survey Research Center of the Institute for Social Research. His main areas of interest are social stratification, demography, statistical methods, and sociology of science.
